A SHARP Workplace is respectful, understands its legal responsibilities, and knows how to respond to and prevent sexual harassment.

How to become a SHARP workplace:

You don’t need to take the sessions in order, but if you’re new to understanding workplace sexual harassment, it’s a good idea to start with “What is workplace sexual harassment?” It will give you a good overview of the topic. Employers and workers (employees, contractors, or volunteers) will get a good basic understanding of workplace sexual harassment and legal rights and responsibilities from sessions 1-3.

Workers will learn about legal options and remedies for complaints in more detail in session 5a.

Employers will learn about:

  • their responsibilities for creating a safe work environment for their workers and for carrying out workplace investigations in sessions 3 and 4, and
  • Legal options and remedies for complaints in more detail in session 5b.

Session 6 explores the roots of workplace sexual harassment.

Please note: To help protect your privacy, these sessions are not recorded.
